Getting back after the event
No regular transit is set up for post-event crowds. After Bills games, Game Day Express buses leave the stadium Transit Center (near Abbott Rd and Southwestern Blvd) for the pickup points. Each game's return times are posted the week before the game. If the game runs long, the first buses leave about 30 minutes after it ends. Otherwise, use the rideshare zone at the east end of the former ECC South Campus. The Bills warn that drivers are scarce after night games. NFTA lists no Game Day Express service for 2026 concerts.
| Mode | What runs after events |
|---|---|
| Bus | NFTA Game Day Express (Bills games only). Returns from the Transit Center near Abbott Rd and Southwestern Blvd to the pickup points: Metropolitan Transportation Center downtown, Niagara Falls Transportation Center, University Station, Utica Rail Station, Thruway Plaza Transit Center, Eastern Hills Mall. Return departure times are on that game's schedule page, posted the week before. If the game runs long, the first buses leave about 30 minutes after it ends. [source] |
| Rideshare | Pickup is at the easternmost lot of ECC South Campus: leave by Entry 3, then Gate B, and walk across the campus. The Bills say there are not enough drivers in WNY for a quick departure after night events. [source] |

Getting there
Public transit
On Bills game days, NFTA-Metro runs the Game Day Express bus from six pickup points to the stadium's Transit Center near Abbott Rd and Southwestern Blvd. Each game's schedule is posted the week before the game.
- Game Day Express pickup points: Metropolitan Transportation Center (downtown Buffalo), Niagara Falls Transportation Center, University Station, Utica Rail Station, Thruway Plaza Transit Center, Eastern Hills Mall. McKinley Mall is not served.
- Buses stop only at the listed points and the stadium. Riders stay on the bus until it reaches the stadium or the return drop-off point.
- Pay with exact cash as you board or with the Token Transit app. MetGo and Metro passes are not valid on this service.
- Service is limited and demand is high. Arrive 10-15 minutes before the scheduled departure.
- Stadium stop: the Transit Center near Abbott Rd and Southwestern Blvd.
- Regular NFTA Route 14 (Abbott) serves SUNY Erie South, next to the stadium, but only on some weekday trips (variant C in the timetable effective August 30, 2026). The last weekday trip toward downtown leaves SUNY Erie South at 8:26 pm. It is not timed to events.

Driving and parking
Every Bills stadium lot requires a parking pass bought in advance; there are no game-day cash or card sales except in the Blue and White ADA lots. Extra fan parking on the former ECC South Campus does not need an advance permit.
- Game-day parking sales: only for vehicles with ADA placards in the Blue and White ADA lots, first come, first served, cashless.
- Lots open 4 hours before kickoff and close 2 hours after the game ends. Concert and special-event lot hours vary.
- Abbott Road is closed to all vehicles between Bills Drive and the NFTA Transportation Hub before kickoff. The parking and game-day pages say 6 hours before; the A-Z guide says 5.
- After the game, Big Tree Road (Route 20A) is closed westbound from Fieldhouse Drive to Route 219 and eastbound from Erie College Drive to Southwestern Blvd.
- Each space is a 9 ft x 18 ft stall plus a 9 ft x 10 ft tailgating area behind the vehicle. All tailgating must stay inside that area and ends at kickoff. Keep emergency lanes clear.
- Accessible spaces: tailgating must stay inside the ADA striping and is never allowed in the crosshatched access aisles.
- Bus, limo and Sprinter van permits must be bought in advance through the Bills Ticket Office. Buses and limos cannot leave until 1 hour after the game.

Rideshare (Uber, Lyft)
The rideshare zone is at the eastern end of the former ECC (SUNY Erie) South Campus.
- After the game, leave by Entry 3, then Gate B, and cross the ECC campus to the easternmost lot.
- The Bills say WNY does not have enough rideshare drivers for a quick departure, especially after night games and events. They strongly advise a backup plan for getting home.
