Getting back after the event
After a night game or concert, walk to SEC District Station and take MARTA. Regular trains run well past midnight: the last Blue Line trains leave SEC District around 1:30 am (eastbound) and 1:40 am (westbound). For the airport, ride one stop east to Five Points and change to the Gold Line; the last Gold Line train to the airport leaves Five Points at 1:26 am on Saturday and Sunday nights and at 1:48 am on weeknights (MARTA schedule read November 4, 2026). MARTA says it adds trains before and after major sporting events downtown. On some nights track work stops the Red and Green lines at 9 pm, so check MARTA's special schedules.
| Mode | What runs after events |
|---|---|
| Rail | MARTA from SEC District Station (Blue/Green lines). Eastbound to Five Points (one stop) for the Red and Gold lines to the airport, Midtown and Buckhead; westbound toward Vine City and H.E. Holmes. Timetable for SEC District, read November 4, 2026: on Saturday and Sunday, eastbound Blue Line trains every 20 minutes until 1:11 am to Indian Creek, plus a final 1:31 am train that ends at Five Points; westbound every 20 minutes until 1:04 am, last train 1:41 am. Weeknights are similar (last eastbound 1:30 am, last westbound 1:43 am). [source] |
| Rail | To the airport: Gold Line from Five Points every 20 minutes late at night. Last departures to Airport Station, read November 4, 2026: 1:26 am on Saturday and Sunday, 1:48 am on weeknights. The Red Line also runs to the airport (last 1:36 am on weekends), but in early November 2026 it was stopping at 9 pm on weeknights for track work. Northbound, the last Gold Line train from Five Points to Doraville leaves at 1:37 am on weekends. [source] |
| Rail | MARTA says that, as it does for all major sporting events downtown, it runs additional trains before and after games, with Load and Go teams on rail platforms to help people on and off trains. It does not publish a separate post-game timetable; after the extra trains, the regular schedule applies. [source] |
| Shuttle | Fetii Gameday Shuttle back to Atlantic Station (Falcons games only): board at GWCC Bus Lane C. The last shuttle leaves the stadium 90 minutes after the game. Expect waits of about 10 minutes. [source] |
| Rideshare | Pickup at Zone 1, GWCC Bus Lane C on Northside Drive, or Zone 2, Broad Street between Trinity and Mitchell streets (better for the airport and the interstates). Both are about a 10-minute walk. If waits are long, the stadium suggests Vine City Station from Zone 1 or Garnett Station from Zone 2. [source] |

Getting there
Public transit
MARTA rail stops next to the stadium. The stadium's preferred stop is SEC District Station (formerly GWCC/CNN Center), on the Blue and Green lines. Vine City Station, one stop west, also serves the stadium. From the airport, Midtown or Buckhead, take the Red or Gold Line to Five Points and change to a westbound Blue or Green train for one stop.
- SEC District Station (Blue/Green lines) is at the stadium's doorstep. The stadium calls it the best stop for both arrival and departure.
- Vine City Station (Blue/Green lines) is the other nearby stop.
- From the airport or anywhere on the Red and Gold lines: ride to Five Points, then change to a westbound Blue or Green train. SEC District is the next stop.
- Pay the fare by tapping a bank card or phone wallet at the faregate (MARTA's new Breeze system). Old Breeze cards, tickets and the Breeze Mobile 2.0 app no longer work.
- MARTA Rapid A-Line (bus rapid transit): get off at South Downtown and walk to the stadium. It connects with rail at Five Points, Georgia State and Garnett stations.
- Fetii Gameday Shuttle (Falcons games only): park in the Atlantic Station garage (enter on State Street, park near stairwells 10, 15 and 16) and board on 17 1/2 Street. Shuttles drop off at GWCC Bus Lane C. Book in the Fetii app. They run from two hours before kickoff until kickoff. The ride takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Not wheelchair accessible.
- Free bike valet for Falcons and Atlanta United games, between Gates 3 and 4, from two hours before the event until one hour after.

Driving and parking
More than 20,000 parking spaces lie within a 20-minute walk of the stadium. Buy parking in advance at parking.mercedesbenzstadium.com; the stadium says lots often sell out before events. Tailgating is allowed in The Home Depot Backyard lot next to Gate 1, not in the covered decks.
- Official lots include the Silver Deck (between Gates 3 and 4, covered, no tailgating), the Red Deck (covered, no tailgating) and The Home Depot Backyard (grass lot off Northside Drive, closest to Gate 1, tailgating allowed). Mobile passes are accepted.
- The Family Tailgate Lot off Northside Drive is alcohol-free and needs a parking pass.
- The Home Depot Backyard opens 4.5 hours before the event and closes two hours after it ends. Tailgating must end 30 minutes after the start; for evening events, by midnight at the latest. No overnight parking: cars left overnight are towed.
- One space per hangtag. No reserved or saved spaces; groups that want to park together must arrive together. No RVs, buses or trailers in The Home Depot Backyard.
- Grills: natural gas or propane only, no charcoal or open fires. One 10 x 10 ft tent per space, weighted down, no stakes. Glass only for serving. Drones are not allowed.
- The stadium warns against buying parking passes on resale markets.
- Inside the stadium all purchases are card or mobile pay only. Cash-to-card kiosks are outside Sections 101 and 122.

Rideshare (Uber, Lyft)
Two rideshare zones, each about a 10-minute walk from the stadium. Zone 1 is GWCC Bus Lane C on Northside Drive (best from Gate 1, heading north). Zone 2 is South Downtown, on Broad Street between Trinity Avenue and Mitchell Street (best from Gates 2 to 4, quicker to the airport and I-20/I-75/85).
- Zone 1, GWCC Bus Lane C: follow the signs from Gate 1 across The Home Depot Backyard bridge.
- Zone 2, South Downtown: on Broad Street between Trinity and Mitchell streets.
- If rideshare waits are long, the stadium points you to MARTA: Vine City Station (Blue/Green) from Zone 1, or Garnett Station (Red/Gold) from Zone 2.
- The stadium's event pages describe these as its rideshare drop-off and pick-up locations. Check your event's page before you go.
