Getting back after the event

After the event, walk back to Morgan Blvd or Downtown Largo (about a mile; WMATA says it can take more than 20 minutes in the crowd). These are the only two stations open for entry after events; every other station is exit only. The stadium says Metro runs frequent service at the end of events and, if the event runs past normal Metro hours, Metro will get you to your final destination. Go straight to the station when the event ends. On Sunday to Thursday nights the regular last westbound trains leave Morgan Blvd around 11:25 to 11:32 pm, so a late game depends on that extended service; check wmata.com for your date. Other options: the Uber Shuttle coaches to downtown DC and rideshare, both from the Red Zone lot.

ModeWhat runs after events
RailMetrorail Blue or Silver Line from Morgan Blvd or Downtown Largo toward downtown DC (trains to Franconia-Springfield and Ashburn). After events only these two stations let riders in. The stadium says Metro will be available when the event ends and will get you home if the event runs past normal service hours, and asks fans to head to the station right away. [source]
RailRegular last trains toward DC from Morgan Blvd: Sunday to Thursday, about 11:31 to 11:32 pm (Silver, to Ashburn) and 11:25 to 11:27 pm (Blue, to Franconia-Springfield). Friday and Saturday, about 1:31 to 1:32 am (Silver) and 1:25 to 1:27 am (Blue). Downtown Largo's last trains leave a few minutes earlier. A Sunday or Monday night game usually ends after the regular last train, so it relies on extended service. [source]
RailPast example of extended service: after the Sunday night game against the Falcons in December 2024, fans had to reach Downtown Largo before 12:32 am or Morgan Blvd before 12:35 am for the last Silver Line train. Last trains were held at transfer stations so riders could connect to any Metro station, and all riders who reached the two stations by those times were carried. No 2026 notice with last-train times was published when we checked. [source]
ShuttleUber Shuttle post-game coaches run in the 2026 season from the Red Zone rideshare lot on Hill Oaks Road (exit at Gate A) to two routes in DC: Route 1 to Gallery Place-Chinatown (H St NW & 7th St NW), Downtown (K St NW & 16th St NW) and Foggy Bottom-GWU (I St NW & 23rd St NW); Route 2 to Union Market (4th St NE & Neal Pl NE) and Logan Circle/14th Street (14th St NW & R St NW). Book seats in the Uber app up to seven days ahead or on game day, subject to availability. Buses leave as they fill. [source]
RidesharePickup only at the rideshare lot at the back of the Red Zone lot, about a 5-minute walk from Gate A. Private pickups use the same lot through the Sports & Learning Complex entrance at 8001 Sheriff Rd. [source]
If you miss itNo final train time is published for 2026 games or concerts; the stadium only says Metro will get you home if the event runs past normal hours, so check wmata.com or the Commanders' site on the day. If you reach Morgan Blvd or Downtown Largo after the last train, the remaining option is a rideshare from the Red Zone lot at the stadium, about a mile back. The stadium does not publish a taxi stand. Stadium lots close 2 hours after the event ends.

Getting there

Public transit

Take Metrorail's Blue or Silver Line to Morgan Blvd, the closest station, and walk about a mile to the stadium. Downtown Largo, also on the Blue and Silver lines, is around one mile away. There is no shuttle bus between the stations and the stadium.

  1. Ride the Blue or Silver Line to Morgan Blvd. The station is on Garrett Morgan Boulevard, almost a mile from the stadium, and a pedestrian walkway leads to it. The stadium puts the walk at about 20 minutes.
  2. Downtown Largo, the end of the Blue and Silver lines, is the other station used on event days. It is also around one mile from the stadium.
  3. No shuttles run from the stations to the stadium. The exception is MetroAccess, WMATA's paratransit service: vans can be booked in advance and drop off and pick up at Gate A and Gate E before and after events.
  4. Pay with a contactless credit or debit card at the faregate, or load enough value on your SmarTrip card for the round trip, so you skip the ticket-machine lines after the game.
  5. Driving to the Metro station: WMATA charges a special event parking fee at Morgan Blvd and Downtown Largo during stadium events to drivers who did not arrive by train. Riders who came in on Metro from another station pay the regular rate.
