Getting back after the event
After a night game, the most reliable way back is the CTA Red Line from Roosevelt, about 0.8 mile west of the stadium on Roosevelt Road. It runs 24 hours a day. CTA's 128 Soldier Field Express runs for about one hour after the game to Union Station and Ogilvie, from McFetridge Drive at Special Olympics Drive. The regular 146 bus leaves from the same stop, with its last scheduled northbound trip around 11:35 pm. Metra Electric trains to the Loop leave 18th Street until about 12:40 to 12:50 am, depending on the day. Rideshare pickup is only at Balbo and Columbus.

Getting there
Public transit
Soldier Field is on the lakefront just south of downtown. The CTA Red, Orange and Green Lines stop at Roosevelt, about 0.8 mile west of the stadium. Two CTA buses go to the stadium on game days: the 128 Soldier Field Express runs nonstop from Union Station and Ogilvie, and the regular 146 connects Roosevelt station and Michigan Avenue with the stadium. Metra Electric and South Shore Line trains stop at 18th Street, a short walk south.
- 'L': take the Red, Orange or Green Line to Roosevelt (1167 S. State St). Walk east on Roosevelt Road through the Museum Campus to the stadium, about 0.8 mile. Or change to the 146 bus at Roosevelt.
- Bus 146 Inner Lake Shore/Michigan Express: regular CTA route that runs down Michigan Avenue to the Museum Campus and stops on the north side of the stadium.
- Bus 128 Soldier Field Express: nonstop from Ogilvie Transportation Center (board southbound on Clinton at Madison) and Union Station (board eastbound on Jackson at Canal). It runs for every Bears home game. Buses leave from about 2.5 hours before kickoff until 30 minutes after. It has its own special round-trip fare, paid in cash or with a Ventra card.
- Metra Electric: get off at 18th Street, Metra's Soldier Field stop. For Sunday and holiday home games with a noon or 3:25 pm kickoff, Metra adds an inbound train (noon games: leaves University Park 9:30 am, reaches 18th St 10:21 am). For the Monday and Thursday night games, regular trains 132 and 134 also stop at 18th St. Game times can change with NFL flex scheduling.
- South Shore Line (from northwest Indiana) runs on the Metra Electric tracks. Get off at 18th Street and walk one block north.
- GEICO Gameday Shuttle: free shuttle for every Bears game from the Millennium Garages (Lower Randolph, Level 2.5). It starts 3 hours before kickoff and drops off at the 18th Street turnaround. Anyone can ride, wherever they parked.
- Pace Soldier Field Express buses run from suburban park-and-rides during the regular season only, not necessarily for playoff games.
- Bus 130 Museum Campus runs only from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
