Getting back after the event
No event transit runs after games or concerts. The stadium and the Cardinals publish no event bus, shuttle or train, and Valley Metro light rail does not reach Glendale. Regular Valley Metro buses run in Glendale, but their late-night times are not confirmed here. After a night event the options are your own car (carparks close one hour after the event) or a rideshare from the Black Lot, south of the stadium. If you do not have a car, staying in the Westgate Entertainment District, which the stadium points to for nearby hotels, keeps the ride back short.
| Mode | What runs after events |
|---|---|
| Rideshare | Pickup in the Black Lot, south of the stadium. It is also the pickup point for friends and family. Check the event's page on statefarmstadium.com for any change on the day. [source] |
| Car | Carparks close one hour after the event, so do not plan to wait out the traffic in the lot. Tailgating after Cardinals games is not allowed. [source] |
| Bus | No event bus service is announced. Valley Metro local buses run in Glendale, and the city lists a park-and-ride at 99th Avenue and Glendale Avenue, but late-night times could not be confirmed for this guide. Check Valley Metro's trip planner before counting on a bus after a night event. [source] |

Getting there
Public transit
No event transit serves the stadium. The stadium and the Cardinals publish no train, event bus, shuttle or park-and-ride service for games or concerts, and Valley Metro light rail does not reach Glendale. Plan on driving or rideshare.
- The stadium's getting-here page covers only driving, parking and rideshare. The stadium is off Loop 101, between Cardinals Way and Glendale Avenue.
- Valley Metro light rail runs in Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa. Glendale's city council dropped plans to extend it into Glendale in 2017.
- If you fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor, the light rail does not help for the last leg: you need a car, rideshare or taxi to the stadium.
- Valley Metro local buses and a park-and-ride at 99th Avenue and Glendale Avenue exist in the area, but no event service is announced. Valley Metro's schedule pages could not be read for this guide, so check its trip planner before relying on a bus.

Driving and parking
Buy parking in advance through SeatGeek, the stadium's ticketing partner. The stadium is cashless: parking lots take credit or debit cards only. For Cardinals games, lots open four hours before kickoff.
- Cardinals games: parking in Sportsman's Park is for pre-sold permit holders and single-game buyers; your permit names the lot entry. The Black Lot is for day-of parking without a pre-sold permit.
- General Parking (blue): enter via Glendale Avenue or Cardinals Way from Loop 101, or from 91st and 99th Avenues, and follow staff and Glendale police directions.
- Preferred Parking (red): only through the entry at Maryland Avenue and 95th Avenue. From the south, exit Loop 101 at Cardinals Way; from the north, exit at Glendale Avenue, go west to 99th Avenue and east on Maryland Avenue.
- Concerts and other events: lot opening times are on each event's page. Example: for the November 21, 2026 concert, lots opened at 4:30 pm for an 8:30 pm show.
- Carparks close one hour after the event.
- Tailgating is allowed when the carparks open. Stay in one stall and keep your setup behind the vehicle; no saving spaces. At Cardinals games it is for ticket holders only and must stop at kickoff; no tailgating after the game. Charcoal and pellet grills and oil fryers are not allowed.

Bag policy
Clear bags only: clear plastic, vinyl or PVC, no larger than 12" x 6" x 12", or a one-gallon clear freezer bag. Small non-clear bags up to 4.5" x 6.5" are allowed. The stadium recommends not bringing a bag at all.
- Clear backpacks and fanny packs are allowed within the 12" x 6" x 12" limit. Tinted bags are not.
- The Cardinals' NFL policy allows one small clutch or wallet up to 4.5" x 6.5" x 2" together with one clear bag.
- Diaper bags are not allowed; carry diapers and wipes in a clear bag. Medically necessary items are allowed after inspection.
- Not allowed: coolers, briefcases, non-clear bags, luggage and any bag over the size limit.
- Every guest goes through a bag search and metal detector screening. There is no storage for prohibited items; take them back to your car.
